Matthew Perry was born on August 19, 1969, in Williamstown, Massachusetts. He began his acting career in the late 1980s, appearing in television shows such as Boys Will Be Boys and Second Chance

In 1994, Perry landed his breakout role as Chandler Bing on the NBC sitcom Friends

Friends was a huge success, and Perry quickly became one of the most popular actors on television.

In addition to his work on Friends, Perry also starred in several films, including Fools Rush In, Almost Heroes, and The Whole Nine Yards.

Perry struggled with addiction and mental health issues throughout his career. He was open about his struggles, and he hoped that his story would help others. 

On October 28, 2023, Perry was found dead in his home in Pacific Palisades, California. He was 54 years old. The cause of death was ruled to be an accidental drowning.
